Abstract
India has emerged as a global economic power, but millions still suffer from curable infectious diseases and malnutrition, and the increasingly urban population faces an emerging epidemic of non-communicable diseases. School researchers have been engaged with partners in India for many decades, and we are now working with government agencies, universities, entrepreneurs, NGOs and community groups, inspired by a common vision to build effective health systems that provide access to diagnosis, treatment and care for all.
